ASHKODE BIZHIKIWAG - Buffalos

ARTIST

Storm Angeconeb is an Indigenous artist from Treaty Three Territory (Lac Suel, First Nation), born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Much of her work includes animals and birds as representations of herself or those close to her. Over the past few years her artwork has been included throughout Winnipeg from murals to light-boxes. Storm continues to practice her art through painting and digital drawings.

ABOUT / ARTIST STATEMENT

This artwork shows the life of Southern Manitoban prairies and farmland, the wildlife of the MASHKODE BIZHIKI - Buffalo and NIKAG - Canadian Geese. It also Includes an abstract representation of the mound that gives this town its name.
